Our first Crop
We'll be having our first crop this coming FRIDAY night, JAN 29TH. This originated a while ago between my mother and sister-in-laws and myself. We were going to make a complete scrapbook about our faith. Well, that didn't get as far as we would have liked. Therefore we are giving it another go! Mine for the most part will be digital. However, Rhi and Chel will probably do both digital and hybrid (paper). If you would like to come, please be at Chel's house (2639 Parkview) 5-6pm Friday night. Bring snacks! And bring any materials you may need, whether digitally or hybrid. The verse for this crop is on the calendar. Friends and Family welcomed!

PLEDGE TO BE A "VUP"!!
I am a day late with my post this week...some might say I'm weeks or even months late...but we won't go there because that would be in direct contrast with the message of this post. I am challenging you as well as myself to be a VUP. I am sure you are asking yourself what a VUP is (stay with me...this will all make sense. Should I tell you that this idea came to me in the wee hours of the morning...maybe not.) I spent a few hours in the emergency room with JT late last night and read the January 2010 issue of Family Circle. The whole magazine's focus was optimism. There was a lot of good stuff in those pages and somehow that stuff wove itself into my head and being a VUP is the result.
Now for the definition of VUP! (Drumroll, please!!) A VUP is nothing more than a "very upbeat person". I am challenging you to become one. It's very simple. It's a matter of choice. It is a conscious decision to look on the bright side of things. It is looking for the half-full glass. It is viewing the world through rose colored glasses. It is choosing to be happy...joyful...optimistic.
I am going to post things that make me feel "VUPish". I hope you will do the same. I have a sneaking suspicion that reading other people's "VUPishness" will increase your own. How's that for a win-win situation?
The sun just peeked through the clouds and I see honest-to-goodness shadows on my den floor. I love the sunshine. It makes me happy. It makes me VUPish. There. See how easy it is.
Join me. I double-dog dare you!

2010
I realize that our last blog was in September! I know this!! However, unless you are one of these people who has absolutely nothing going on in their life, then you will know what I mean when I say, A LOT has been going on. I also realize that is no excuse for my neglect of, what could be, such a powerful resource. Therefore one of my goals for 2010 is to utilize this more. We are shooting for an updated blog every week. Promotions, contests, ideas, challenges, etc. should flood this page from now on. We will also be asking for your help from time to time. We may be introducing some guest artist along with contests featuring your works of art. So let's REVOLUTIONIZE this year!! 2010 is the year for a 180 degree turn around!!
